Kiteboarding Spray Lakes, Alberta Canada | Eleveight RS | Snowkiting
We were on the fence as to if the wind would cooperate this weekend. With marginal winds near Calgary, Alberta we ventured a little further west into the rocky mountain lakes to get our kiteboarding fix.
Spray lakes, Alberta (located approximately 1:45 minutes west from Calgary) offered decent snowpack over the lake ice with winds good for a variety of kites ranging from 8 - 12 m during the day. The good wind made for great snowkiting conditions with kiters boosting big and all over the place.
James K. was out kiting with the Eleveight Kiteboarding RSeries kite. The RS proves to be a great kite for snowkiting with ample windrange, depower, boosting and of course hangtime. Several riders demoed the Eleveight RS with one commenting that the kite proved ideal for snowkiting (and kiteboarding on water) in Alberta.
