Eleveight Kites - What's the Story?

Eleveight Kiteboarding came on the market in the summer of 2017 and has been building it's kite, twintip and directional kiteboard lineup into a true powerhouse after only a few years on the market.  How did this happen? Just another small brand? Not quite there is alot more to the Eleveight story.

Best Kiteboarding was one of the big brands in the industry, however they experienced some ownership turmoil with new investors, direction and in the end the big brand that had originally shaken up the industry back in 2003.  Remember when kiteforum.com was the site to be on? Well Best's original business model had alot to be talked about on the forum.  After becoming the biggest manufacturer in the world for a while management and accountants starting taking over more of the product, Best parted ways with it's namesake co-founder Shannon Best and eventually came to it's demise in 2017.  What happened next was not exactly a phoenix rising from the ashes but a new breed.  The founding team of eleveight was already thinking/planning to develop a new brand focused on their ideals of passion, professional dedication, quality and innovation.  The collapse of Best Kiteboarding pushed Eleveight Kites into existence.

Heading up the kite design is a man with a great reputation, Peter Stiewe. Peter is also CEO of Eleveight Kites.  That means they're are no barriers to product design and quality.  Peter seeks the most innovative and high quality materials on the market to make his designs come to life with no compromise on build quality, performance and durability.  Gone are the accountant restricted kite models!  Eleveight has teamed up with Aqua Dynamics, the leading kite equipment supplier in the industry.  Aqua Dynamics produces kites out of Sri Lanka for the Global market and Brazil for the brazilian/south american market.

For the board line-up, the designs are led by top veteran board designer Franz Schitzhofer in Austria.  Once again free reign on design and materials has allowed for the production of amazing twintip kiteboards such as the Master, Commander, Process, and Ignition board models.

Eleveight's directional kiteboard lineup is designed and manufactured in Portugal.  What better spot could you pick than Portugal? The home of the insanely massive Peniche wave.  With so much surf on the coastline, the Eleveight Kitesurfboards get alot of product development time in the water allowing the designers to hone the shapes that kitesurfers adore.

Eleveight has also released foils suited for kiteboarders learning to foil and the more advance freeriders and speedsters!  The foils are matched with purpose built foil boards that make the foiling experience a breeze.

All in all Eleveight has become a great rider focused brand that provides quality kiteboarding equipment - kites, control bar and lines, twintip kiteboards, and kitesurfboards - that kiters of all skill levels will enjoy for years to come.

We will leave you with an excerpt from Eleveight Kites own About us page, it sums up the brand and philosophy very well:
